The First Meeting of the New Council of Ministers to Be Broadcast Live

PHNOM PENH: The first meeting of Prime Minister Hun Manet’s newly appointed Council of Ministers, will be broadcast live, as they disseminate the policy of the new administration.

In a statement issued on August 22, Minister of Information Neth Pheakra said that the Cabinet will hold its first plenary session on the morning of August 24 at 7:30 am. at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh. The meeting will be chaired by Prime Minister Hun Manet.

"The Ministry of Information would like to request all national and international media to participate in the live broadcast from the National Radio and Television of Cambodia on the First Plenary Session of the Royal Government of the 7th Legislature of the National Assembly, widespread to the public." the statement said.

Prime Minister Hun Manet officially assumed his new role on August 22 after a vote of confidence was cast by the National Assembly for him and his Cabinet, who took an oath in front of the king later that same day.
